Wedding venues

Dry-hire wedding venues that welcome your own caterer

These 36 venues in Essex, London, Hertfordshire, Kent, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire let you choose your own caterer, so you can bring me in to cook your wedding breakfast. Some allow it only on their dry-hire option, and I've said which. Each card shows what the venue's own website says about catering. Travel is included wherever the venue is.

I've listed these from the venues' published rules, checked on 8 and 9 October 2026. It isn't a recommendation of venues I've cooked at, and rules change, so always confirm catering with the venue before you book.

What to ask a dry-hire venue about catering

  1. Can we bring our own caterer, and on which packages? Some venues allow it only on dry hire.
  2. Is there a kitchen, and what's in it? Ovens, hot cupboards, fridges and power. With no kitchen, I bring a field kitchen (£20 a guest under 100 guests, £15 from 100).
  3. What do caterers need to provide? Insurance, a food hygiene rating, PAT-tested equipment.
  4. Are there fees for outside caterers? Admin fees, waste or bin charges, deposits.
  5. Who supplies tables, chairs, crockery and linen? I bring crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen as standard; if the venue supplies them, it's £10 a guest less.
  6. When can the caterer arrive and leave? Access times, deliveries and when the venue must be clear.
  7. Who runs the bar? Some venues run their own bar; others let me serve wine from my packages, or yours.
